Team Guidelines

Team Roles

Brendan - Secretary

Matthew - Project Manager

Stephen - Technical Lead

Sagar - Quality Assurance

N.B, these are very fluid roles, and Team Members are not restricted to them

Team Management

Meeting Schedule

We plan to meet every Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00
Any other meetings to take place will need to give the Team at least 24hrs notice

Modes of Communication

Main mode of communication will be face-to-face conversation.
The use of instant messaging applications as well as e-mail will be another major mode of communication.
Meetings will play an important role in developing ideas and formally aproving work that has been done or will be done.

Conflict Resolution Protocol

Should a conflict arise concerning the direction of the project, then several steps will be taken:

  1. Opposing parties will state their proposal
  2. Team memebers will then vote on which proposal better suits the Team
  3. Should the vote be tied, reasoning with each Team Member will take place
  4. A second vote will occur
  5. Should this second vote be a tie, then a neutral third party will be called upon to give their input
  6. A third vote will occur
  7. Should this third vote be a tie, then the neutral third party will make a decision - this is to avoid the cessation work

Should a conflict arise between two or more Team Members, then the issue will need to be resolved as soon as possible.
Other Team Members will be called upon to provide a reasoning voice in such a situation.
Internal conflict will not be tolerated as it is damaging for both the parties involved, and the Team as a whole.

Protocol For Uploading Work

Wiki

If it is decided in a meeting that a particular Team Member is to upload a certain section of work into the wiki, then no other Team Member may do so.

If a Team Member notices a section which they think requires modification, or wishes to submit extra work, then they are free to do so. If the submission is a major addition, the changes will be inserted into the next meeting's agenda for review.
