Inception Phase
Sunday, 10th August 2008
Created two usage scenarios and posted them on the main wiki page. I also created a second page to compile all our research data on the hardware sensors on to.

During the meeting today we outlined what each of us would do. Dragana was knighted as the leader of T5. Her job was to upload the diagram with all the phases on it to the wiki pages, with dates included for each inception stage.
Nick was entrusted with the job of keeping the wording of all the wiki pages consistent so that it sounded like a single person had written it.
As for me, I drafted myself into keeping the wiki page consistent. No, it's not the same as keeping the wording consistent. This job includes keeping titles and headings in a consistent manner.
We were all to look at other wiki pages (of other teams) to see how they are setting out their pages.

Dragana releases an email asking us how to edit our logbook pages. Not knowing how to either, I let Nick spread the word. Dragana also attaches a basic title-only layout of our wiki page.

Dragana thinks that as a wiki page, all the information regarding our project should be presented on the main wiki page for T5. I see her point and tend to agree with her. I haven't said anything yet-- I only read the email on Sunday.

I made some preliminary sketches for an idea for the UI of the device. I based it loosely on the interface of the iPod Touch & iPhone, because it seems to do a good job at giving a user a lot of control of a device that small.
These sketches I've reproduced using a graphics program (lacking a usable scanner). I also produced a draft of the interface using Adobe Flash CS3, to give it more detail and to better visualize it. Both these images I've uploaded to the T5 wiki page and have created a whole new section titled "User Interface Ideas" subheaded by "Idea One" ["User Interface Ideas" changed to "User Interface Concepts"... sounds better]. This was created in the Elaboration part of the document.
Not having communicated much to the other team members via email, I don't feel as though I'm doing as much as I should be doing. I only ever get around to doing OOD work on Sunday night.

Elaboration Phase
Monday, 18th August 2008
Fourth lecture & tutorial we had today. During the meeting we decided on several things regarding the device. Things like what classes the software might have, & how each class will collaborate with other classes. From memory, the classes are: Storage, Pulse, Temperature, GSR, UI, Clock, Graph.
Nick is tasked with making & uploading CRC Cards, & Sequence Interaction Diagrams (I think). Dragana & I are to fill in any gaps he might've left. We also need to write up some Use Cases for the User Scenarios we wrote. Well, not "for" the scenarios, but related to them.

Received an email from Lian saying that a late enrolled student has been added to our group. Although unexpected, we've got to keep moving forward. I've edited the main wiki to include Anton's own logbook. It's linked to a page that hasn't been created, so when Anton creates an account, he can create his own logbook. I hope to email him just to get him up to speed with what we've done & what we're doing.
I've still got to do some use cases. Maybe Sunday.
Sunday, 24th August 2008
I've added a new section under "Elaboration Phase" on the main wiki page titled "Use Cases". I've uploaded a diagram of the use case, and added five use cases in relation to the diagram.
Dragana has sent an email to our new group member. I guess we'll see him tomorrow during class.

Tomorrow our presentations are due. I've created a new User Scenario for tomorrow's presentation. I've also updated the Use Case Diagram & the Use Cases on the Wiki.
So far nobody's created a central powerpoint file, so I figured I'll just create my own slides with blank formatting, & send it to everyone tonight. I'll also bring it with me tomorrow since we're meeting at 11am before the lecture.
Construction Phase
Friday, 17th October, 2008
Today Dragana, Nick & I met up in CB01.23.22 computer lab to work on the programming part of the assignment. I began going through the old OOP textbook trying to get up to speed with everyone else. Nick built the framework for the Display & User Interface classes. Dragana began work on the Time class. Anton is nowhere to be found, but is understandable because as I recall he either has classes or work during this time. He petitioned for us to meet up on Friday night, but given my commute time (2hrs), it would be highly inconvenient.
The plagiarism issue with Team 1 continues unresolved. I reminded Nick to send Lian the "evidence" that proves that his work is original. He sent it today & hopefully it is enough.
Our next meeting will be on Monday, 20th October on the morning before the OOD class.
Transition Phase
Saturday, 1st November 2008
Making adjustments to the wiki page ready for Monday's presentation. So far our code is not entirely complete, but it is functional (intial features are not implemented).
I've updated my project workbook (physical) and looking over the code Nick put up on the server. I had to download a mac version of the SVN client plug-in. It works fine. It's a plug-in for Finder.
Monday, 3rd November 2008
Met at 8:30am at uni to finish the assignment off as best we could. There are a few things we were unable to implement. I edited a few things on the wiki, including the references I used for the graph class, the intro paragraph for the construction heading.
We have been working on this assignment up and until 11:59:59am.
Return to T5
